I’m J’amie, Manager at The Abbeys care home in Rotherham and I'm proud to have worked in the care sector for the last 15 years.

I’m passionate about my personal and career development and joined the wonderful team at The Abbeys nearly two years ago as a Deputy Manager. Since then, I’ve become the Registered Manager and I couldn’t be more proud of the exceptional care myself and my team deliver here.

For me, one of the biggest keys to providing amazing care is communication. I make sure that our community thrives by building authentic relationships with colleagues, care partners, residents and their loved ones. 

Our residents lead fulfilled and meaningful lives and we invest heavily into our activities programme to ensure social lives and friendships continue, both inside and outside the home. We regularly organise trips using our in-house minibus and encourage residents to join us.

We know that being part of our residents' lives is a real privilege. We make sure they have good, nutritious food in a happy and positive environment with plenty of fun activities, entertainment and events to look forward to!
