Growing and Thriving with Each Other Care

How Heather’s inspiring herself and others to achieve.

Heather has been a valued member of our team at Cumbernauld for the last 13 years. From the very start, her natural curiosity about the medical side of care sparked a passion for learning and connection that has only grown stronger over time. Through her role as a carer, Heather has had the chance to build meaningful and positive relationships with paramedics and hospital-at-home teams, gaining confidence and new skills that have shaped her career journey in care.

Recently Heather celebrated a significant milestone by passing her paramedic entry exams which is a true reflection of her dedication and commitment to helping others. Alongside this achievement, she volunteers regularly at live events across Glasgow, bringing her caring spirit and practical skills to support our community in meaningful ways.

What’s truly inspiring is how Heather’s journey reflects the heart of what we believe in at Each Other Care of embracing our values-led culture that guides us each day. It's authentic relationships built on trust and respect, bringing a light-hearted humour to boost team spirit and embracing a shared commitment of always being there for each other. It’s these values that inspired Heather to reflect on her career path and make the move into nursing.

Driven by her desire to make a lasting and sustainable impact on people’s lives, Heather is preparing to start her nursing degree at university this September. This exciting new chapter is a powerful example of what’s possible when you are supported by a community that believes in your potential and encourages you to grow.

Heather’s story reminds us that learning and professional growth never stop and that with the right support, every journey can lead to something meaningful. At Each Other Care, we’re proud to be part of every team member’s story. We’re here to nurture talent, celebrate unique stories and create shared home communities where purpose and connection flourish.

We look forward to walking alongside Heather as she steps into this new role, and we’re excited to see how she continues to inspire others within our shared home community and beyond. Together, we’re building a culture where everyone has the confidence to try new things, the courage to follow their dreams and the support to make a real difference.
