The Abbeys
The Abbeys is a warm and friendly family-owned 56-bedroom care home in Rotherham, providing residential, dementia, respite, and day care for older people.
We provide tailored and compassionate care for elderly residents, including specialist care for those living with dementia.
Our bright and comfortable rooms offer a home-from-home feel. Our residents are also very welcome to bring in their own furnishings to help them feel even more at home and get settled in as quickly as possible.
Our nutritionally balanced and tasty home-cooked food options are made with love by our in-house catering team.
We understand that social events and activities are a crucial part of life, which is why we offer a wide range of optional social events and activities to ensure that our positive community continues to flourish.

Meet the Manager
I’m J’amie, Manager at The Abbeys care home in Rotherham and I'm proud to have worked in the care sector for the last 15 years.
I’m passionate about my personal and career development and joined the wonderful team at The Abbeys nearly two years ago as a Deputy Manager. Since then, I’ve become the Registered Manager and I couldn’t be more proud of the exceptional care myself and my team deliver here.
For me, one of the biggest keys to providing amazing care is communication. I make sure that our community thrives by building authentic relationships with colleagues, care partners, residents and their loved ones.
Our residents lead fulfilled and meaningful lives and we invest heavily into our activities programme to ensure social lives and friendships continue, both inside and outside the home. We regularly organise trips using our in-house minibus and encourage residents to join us.
We know that being part of our residents' lives is a real privilege. We make sure they have good, nutritious food in a happy and positive environment with plenty of fun activities, entertainment and events to look forward to!

Living with dementia can be challenging, but our care team is here to make sure individuals have all the help they need to settle into their new home.

Respite Care
At all our homes you can pre-book respite care up to 12 months in advance, giving you flexibility and peace of mind.

Day Care
Day care offers a short break where you or your loved ones can talk with our staff and other residents, join in with activities as much or as little as you want, with support on hand if you need it.
