Inspection success at Brierfield House

Brierfield House Care Home in Nelson is delighted to have retained their 5-star hygiene rating in the kitchen. This achievement is testament to the continuing commitment and dedication of the entire team.

Following a rigorous inspection by Lancashire County Council, inspectors commented on the extemporary standards of the facilities and the clear processes and procedures in place to offer the highest standards to residents.

Registered Manager Sally McNeill tell us more:

"We are pleased that the inspectors have recognised the ongoing efforts our teams show to go above and beyond here at Brierfield. This rating confirms this effort in practice.

Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is a top priority for us, and this achievement showcases our unwavering commitment to the well-being and safety of our residents."

The inspection inspects all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation and storage, cleanliness of facilities, and health and safety compliance. The certificate reinforces the care home’s position as a trusted and reliable care provider in the Pendle community.

The success of achieving a 5-star hygiene rating wouldn't have been possible without the collaborative efforts of the entire team in the kitchen. Each Other Care extends their gratitude to Head Chef Lainey Smith, Chef Michelle Johnson and Kitchen Assistants Kameron Roberts and Katie Hyatt for their diligence, professionalism and dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care.

Head Chef Lainey Smith is delighted:

“We provide the finest service to our valued residents and this inspection was a good opportunity to show how passionate we are. Meals are freshly prepared on site each day and we offer residents a varied and individualised menu to cater for personal needs. Our residents are at the heart of everything we do.

This 5-star hygiene rating is a proud moment for the care home and reinforces its commitment to excellence in all aspects of care.
